HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
PROPOSAL
Number 1: Upon sufficient
FUNDING, we plan to open an orphanage in La Plaine, the area northeast
of Port au Prince called Croix Des Bouquets. We will
provide food, shelter, care, and education for displaced and orphaned
children. While plans are prepared for building a facility,
we will lease a house, furnish, and staff it immediately. Time is
of the essence. Money is essential.
We will be looking for commitment of ongoing support from several
churches or foundations. We also intend to start a chicken
farm that would provide an income for the orphanage and make it more
self-sufficient.
Number 2: We know people are leaving
the city of Port au Prince and going to relatives in rural country
towns. This is a causing a burden on already stressed poor
families. We want to provide food and clothing for people
displaced by the earthquake who are outside the
city of Port au Prince and out of reach of the city relief operations.
